Ed was Coyle’s first full-time employee in 1985. During his tenure at Coyle, he has developed and implemented numerous operational efficiencies. As Chief compliance Officer, Ed has interfaced the relationship between government regulators and the firm. As a Family manager, Ed’s expertise and passion is working with families in transition due to elder care issues. He has become a knowledgeable and well respected resource in working with families facing the challenges of elder care planning. He focuses on listening to clients, formulating strategies and motivating clients into action in an effort to allow them to enjoy their life knowing that the details of their complex cash flow, tax and estate issues are being closely monitored.
Ed received his BA from John Carroll University in History and Education and obtained a MA in Special Education form Northeastern Illinois University. In 1988, Ed obtained his Certified Financial Planner™ designation from the College of Financial Planning. Ed is also an avid ultramarathon runner, is married and has three children. Ed after many years in Evanston now resides in Palatine.
