I firmly believe that visual communication is a vital tool to help others gain better understanding of complex ideas. As the graphic designer at Coyle my design thinking and problem solving skills are essential to Coyle's need for production of reports, brochures, handouts, dynamic presentations, announcements, client infographics, newsletters and web site maintenance. Since 2006 my mission at Coyle has been to create eye-catching, effective visual solutions to further develop and maintain our corporate identity and branding.
I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Communications from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I was active in Reeve Union Board, participating in multiple committees and taking a leadership role by chairing the Creative Concepts Committee from 2003-2004. I was involved in Reeve Union Board's Art Exhibition committee from 2004-2006, which facilitated yearly student shows in the Reeve Union Gallery. I've been designing professionally for over a decade.
I have a passion for living simply and sustainably by practicing mindfulness in my day to day. I've been exploring the world of creative reuse, yoga, meditation, long-form improv, commuting by bike and utilizing and supporting public transit. I value the slow food movement and enjoy cooking healthy but tasty meals. In the summer I grow a garden and I'm a member and a committee volunteer of the Riverwest Co-op Grocery & Cafe. I've gotten to know my community better by participating in the Riverwest24, a 24-hour community bike race, as a rider, a volunteer and a block party organizer. I live in the Riverwest Neighborhood in Milwaukee, WI with my partner Jon and our rescued dachshund Lanie, who occasionally joins me for bike rides in her basket. In our free time we enjoy seeing live local music, checking out gallery nights and stopping in at our neighborhood establishments to try a new craft beer on tap.
