Living a Wealthy Life

Key Takeaways

  • Morals, character, patience, gratitude, and love are five essential things that make up a truly wealthy life.
  • Having lots of money doesn’t guarantee that you will live a truly wealthy life, as there are plenty of people with small net worth who are very wealthy in terms of how they live their lives.
  • The most important essential thing to living a wealthy life is love; love for yourself, and love for others.

Morals, character, patience, gratitude, and love. What do these five things have in common? According to an article in Entrepreneur Magazine, they are a few of the essential things that make up a truly wealthy life.

I run in to a lot of people with small net worth who are very wealthy when it comes to how they live their lives. And looking at how these people have these essential things that make them wealthy, reminds me to try to be the same way. So, let’s set money aside for a moment and talk about these essentials in more detail.

Morals and Character

These two really go hand in hand since our character is developed by the morals we believe in. They are the cornerstone of who we are, what we are about. They mean more than millions of dollars, because without them, we have nothing.

Patience

This one is tough for me, as I know it is for many others. As we get older, we have to be more patient with others. You may have already been down a path for a long time, and you’ve gained knowledge and wisdom along the way, but you have to allow others to get to that same place. It requires a lot of patience in the process of doing that. But hopefully by exhibiting this patience, when your voice is heard, and knowledge is imparted, the one receiving it can understand and apply it to their own life.

Gratitude

I don’t know about you, but every morning when I get up, and every night before I go to sleep, I am grateful for everybody around me. My family, my friends, coworkers, everyone that helps make it all happen. Because without these people in my life to support me, and there are a lot of them, I could not be successful. I would be able to do nothing to the level that I do today if it weren’t for them, and it reminds me to be grateful for everything and everyone I have.

Love

The final essential for a wealthy life, is love. And as gushy as it sounds, it really is the most important thing. You have to love yourself first, but you really have to love your fellow human beings. When we look at people from a place of love, all the other stuff that goes on in life, the diametrically opposed opinions about the world, and everything else going on, it’s all just background noise, it goes away. Because we see that human being in front of us with the same fears, hopes, and dreams, and all we can do is love them for it. Maybe we can even help them on their way in life.

And that’s living a truly healthy and wealthy life.

Until next time, enjoy.
