Below are all of the people who make the magic happen.
Money is a part of everything we do. It is the lifeblood of our society. Without it, life is difficult. I’ve watched people struggle with money my whole life. Our weekly blog addresses money and all the issues, big and small that come with earning, saving and spending our money. It’s about proactively addressing all aspects of our money by making smart, educated decisions about our money.
I graduated from West Point in 1979 followed by graduating first in my Ranger School class. The caption under my West Point graduation photo reads, “Remember me not for what I said, but for what you saw.” The six years I spent in the U.S. Army infantry were great years of serving my country and my soldiers.
My path to becoming a business owner may be an unusual one, but I have always been the quintessential entrepreneur. I deliver seminars and talks, and have developed a patented pending process for simplifying visual communication of our client’s complex wealth through mind maps. I am the author of Changing the Conversation, Wealth of Everything and co-author of The Business Battlefield that I wrote with my colleague, Adam Blonsky.
I am genuinely interested in getting to know all about the person in front of me. Who are they? What’s most important to them? Where do they want to go in life? Whether advising my clients, mentoring my team, or coaching entrepreneurs, I’m always simplifying complexity and motivating others to take the next action that’s right for them.
Despite my independent nature, I never argue with good advice. If I’ve ever done anything smart in my life, it’s listen intently to people who know what they’re talking about.
My wife shares my military background, having been an Army officer. Because of the danger involved, neither of us pushed our children toward the military, yet both our daughter and son went on to graduate from West Point.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, reading and orienteering. I have a B.S. in General Engineering, an M.S. in Financial Services (MSFS), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). For more information, Click Here
Gary and his wife split their time between Glenview, IL and Reistertown, MD.
Kevin Coyle has 30 years of experience helping successful families and business owners develop, implement and maintain customized wealth enhancement and preservation programs. He joined Coyle in 1988. Previously, he served as a Trust Officer and Portfolio Manager with the First National Bank of Chicago managing Trust and Investment Advisory relationships.
Kevin graduated from Bowdoin College with a BA(Cum Laude) in Economics and Romance Languages. He was a member of the Varsity football team and was selected as a Division III All American his junior year. He later earned a Master of Management in Finance from the Northwestern University J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He was elected Park Board Commissioner for the Northfield Park District for two terms (2008-2011), and served as President between 2010-2011.
Kevin and his wife Gail, a pre-school teacher in Northfield, have three children, Ryan, Tara and Bryna. They have lived in Northfield for over 20 years. Kevin is an avid golfer, an aspiring fly fisherman and a big fan of live music.
Honor. Courage. Commitment. These are the Core Values of the United States Marine Corps, the warfighting organization of which I was a part for nine years. A former commander of mine explained these values to me very simply: Honor is knowing what’s right, Courage is doing what’s right, and Commitment is continuing to do what’s right even when the chips are down and the odds are stacked against you.
I came to Coyle Financial Counsel in 2021, 13 years after taking the Oath of Office as a United States Marine, and those values are no less meaningful or uncompromising to me now as they were then. Coyle’s culture and values called to me because they resonate with my own. As a leader in this firm, I remain committed to providing the same exceptional level of service to our clients now and in the future, as we have in the past.
I graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2008, accepted a commission as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, and served for nine years as an infantryman. For nine years, on friendly shores and abroad, my commitment to my Corps and to my people was total and all-encompassing: it was the mission, the Marines, and me—and in that order. “Servant Leadership” has become a catchphrase in military and business circles alike, but for the Marines, it’s just “Leadership,” no modifiers necessary. To lead is to serve. It’s as simple as that. In the Corps, we have a saying: “Officers eat last,” and that’s really all you need to know.
My career path out of the Marine Corps has been anything but conventional, but whether I’ve been running my own Texas barbecue business or developing a quality assurance program for a security robotics company, my core values and leadership style have remained consistent. With every new direction I take in life, I think of myself as the impressionable, idealistic 18-year-old kid standing in line at the gates to Annapolis – what would he think of me now?
When I’m not at the office, you can find me reading, writing, traveling, fishing, or hunting. I also support and participate in the Arts, and I commit my off time to expanding their influence within the veteran and active-duty community.

I truly enjoy helping people. With many of my own life experiences, I understand and empathize with the challenges faced by women today. I’ve worked in the corporate world, experienced the disappointment of divorce, and parented my girls as a single mom. I’ve since remarried and know the joy of finding the right person, while also relating to challenges with blending families. I was featured on a talk show series called, “Let’s Get Down to Business” where I discussed Financial Planning for Women and their many challenges in these areas.
I’m a Principal of Coyle Financial Counsel and a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®). I have more than 20 years of experience advising clients in making financial decisions. I received the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) in 2001 through the College of Financial Planning and successfully completed my Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2005 through DePaul University. For more information, Click Here.
Prior to merging with Coyle, I was a co-founder of the firm Wheaton Wealth Partners. I worked with the team to create the Insight Map, an interactive planning tool used to connect a client’s financial and non-financial world, bringing clarity for the future. We continue to use these mind maps in our process today.
I’m also a Certified Jazzercise® Workout Instructor, celebrating my 15-year anniversary in this role. I find great reward in assisting students with becoming healthier and improving themselves in mind, body, and soul! I’m dedicated to helping women get fit while having fun.
I reside with my husband, Bill, in Memphis, TN and am blessed with two daughters and two stepchildren who all live independently.
I have been in the financial services industry for 14 years, focusing on helping families navigate the inevitable complexities associated with accumulated wealth. As in many areas in life, there are certain financial decisions that, if made without proper planning and thought, could be detrimental to a family. I take pride and get energized when my team and I are able to work with families to make informed, well thought out decisions that are going to solve a concern or achieve an objective.
During my time working with high net worth families, I have navigated through intense family dynamics and complex tax strategies with their tax professionals. I’ve assisted business owners in preparing for a transition, comforted family members when someone passes, and been with them through many more emotional and sensitive situations. Working with the families I am honored to serve is truly a blessing. Focusing on the Wealth of Everything, not just one concentrated part of a family’s makeup, enables the advisory team and family to work in coordination with each other to ensure all goals, objectives, and concerns are addressed and, most importantly, acted upon.
My tenure in the wealth division in banking over the last 14 years has prepared me to transition from an atmosphere that, while mostly effective, didn’t align with the way I feel families should be served. Transitioning to Coyle grants me the autonomy and flexibility to truly customize the needs of a family, while providing advisory level services focused solely on their best interests. The feeling of being able to serve families without the underlying proprietary products and services pushed by the bank is euphoric and empowering. Being able to facilitate various family needs in non-biased way is fulfilling.
I graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA with a BS in Business Administration. I have been with my amazing wife for 21 years, married for 17. We have three children, one of whom joined Our Father in 2007, and a two-year-old Goldendoodle. When we aren’t busy with the various activities with the kids, we enjoy going to the beach, playing golf, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
Jenny joined Coyle Financial Counsel as an Associate Advisor in August of 2020, bringing 10 years of experience in various roles in the financial industry. Her passion for guiding individuals and families to make smart, confident, and cost-efficient money decisions comes from having witnessed how money affects the emotions and lives of those she cares about most. Simply put, she understands that if you care about someone or something, you deserve the peace of mind that a well-designed and implemented financial plan provides.
She believes that the Wealth of Everything approach enables our firm to partner with families across multiple generations, as well as their broader team of tax and estate professionals, to ensure their mission and investment portfolio are truly aligned. She has seen how these partnerships lead not only to more successful long-term investing but, more importantly, a less stressful life!
Jenny does some of her best work with those in transition, translating their unique goals into a clear, achievable financial plan and long-lasting partnership. Whether you find yourself a career climber, an empty nester, a business owner thinking about selling, or finding a new path after a divorce – we are here to co-create a plan that optimizes your Wealth of Everything.
Jenny graduated from Utica College, Cum Laude, with a BA in International Studies.
Jenny recently moved to Glenview from the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago with her husband, Nick. A lifelong athlete and lover of the outdoors, she enjoys tennis, skiing, paddle boarding, and hiking.

When I interviewed at Coyle in 2012, I remember having a conversation with my dad on my drive home. He asked how the interview went, and I remember saying, “it feels like I belong there.” That was the moment I knew this was the job for me. When I first began at Coyle, I was the Expeditor for our team, and over the last five years, I have grown into the Complexity Manager Role. I enjoy building upon the relationships I have formed with clients and helping in any way I can to resolve their concerns.
Prior to working at Coyle, I was the account manager for a print and fulfillment company. I handled their largest Financial and Insurance Service Industry client. My responsibilities included multitasking and problem solving related to various operational, information technology, and logistics issues, along with hands-on customer service.
In 2010, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Health Management Administration & Policy at the University of New Hampshire, then packed up my belongings and moved to Illinois.
On the weekends, you will find me at a local restaurant, movies with friends, or enjoying a quiet night at home. I also visit New Hampshire yearly, and look forward to visiting with my friends and family, going on kayaking trips, or spending the weekend at the beach. I have also picked up the travel bug and enjoy venturing to new destinations.
As a lifelong learner, I have found a perfect home in Coyle Financial Counsel. Coyle’s culture of continuous learning fits well into how I think and work. I enjoy working with our clients and their extended families helping them get clear on financial goals so they can make informed decisions with their money. I have worked on Kevin’s team since 2008 and have benefitted from witnessing his dedication to clients and always pressing to do what’s best for them and their families.
I obtained a BA in Speech Communication from Eastern Illinois University. As part of my continued growth in financial services I received my Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2015 through Northwestern University. For more information, Click Here.
On the weekends you can find me hanging out with family and friends, checking out the latest movie, or exploring a great restaurant. I appreciate everything from a hole in the wall to a Michelin rated experience. So if you have recommendations for a good restaurant let me know!
People ask me what has kept me at Coyle Financial for almost 20 years and I tell them because I know each day I have the opportunity to make our client’s lives simpler and easier. Having recently transitioned to a full time marketing position for Coyle allows me to focus my energy and expertise on getting our message out to other success families. We really are here to help you live The Good Life Managed Well™.
Prior to joining Coyle Financial I spent 10 years in the travel industry which ignited my love of traveling and gave me an appreciation for other countries, cultures and this quote: Travel is the only thing you buy which makes you richer. In the last several years I have rented a cottage for a few weeks each summer in Door County, WI to slow down, tune out the noise of the world and enjoy the simpler things in life. And each year I come back to work rejuvenated and bursting with ideas on how we can make an impact on those we serve.
I am a coffee & wine enthusiast, wanna be artist and avid reader of spy thriller novels. You will find me happily sitting in the sunshine at any beach I can find waiting for the sunset.
My entire career has been focused on treating clients with a friendly, helpful attitude. As an Expeditor, I enjoy completing the administrative tasks that are involved with assisting our clients reach their financial and personal goals. I joined Coyle Financial Counsel because of their outstanding reputation and unique approach to helping clients and their families.
Prior to joining Coyle, I was an assistant in the technology events planning industry, which requires a calm and level head and an ability to methodically and logically look at solutions.
Outside of the office, you will most likely find me walking at the Morton Arboretum. It’s a lovely place to unwind and listen to the soothing voices of nature while experiencing the benefits of exercise. I also enjoy spending time with my son Matthew, daughter-in-law Bianka, and my large extended family.
Manager Investment Operations
Building long-lasting relationships has always been important to me. I worked in the automotive industry for over a decade, during which I cherished the times I’d come in early to chat with a client over a cup of coffee about life, and not just their vehicle. That is what made joining the Coyle Team so seamless for me. Their customer-centric approach built on life-long relationships is what drew me in.
Having been with Coyle since 2016, I know first-hand that everything we do has our clients’ best interests at the forefront. Working as a member of the Operations Team, I get to bring new ideas to life, and I take pride in providing the attention to detail that a client deserves. I also carry out investment instructions, handle new account paperwork, and submit trades and cash management requests.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my two children, Elody and Benton, and my wonderful wife, Savannah. Both of our families live nearby us in Wisconsin, so our weekends are full of rooting for the Packers or waiting on an inevitable Brewers collapse. On Sundays, you can find us outside greeting at Great Lakes Church. As foodies, a typical night out includes eating at a new place, and we aspire to travel more to find more amazing food.
I believe working as a collective will always yield stronger results than working alone. Everyone possesses their own unique perspectives, creativity, and problem-solving abilities, making it possible for the entire team to drive towards a goal. It is this collaborative, teamwork driven mentality that attracted me to Coyle. The desire to work with great people, initiate, innovate, and ultimately help people with their own personal goals is what drives me every day.
I earned a degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2017. Afterwards, I worked for Morgan Stanley and Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, obtaining both Series 7 and 66 licenses. At Merrill, I was on the self-directed side of the business, exposing me to every aspect of the financial services industry.
Outside of the office, I enjoy checking out the latest movies and TV shows, and am always looking for an offbeat suggestion. During football season you’ll find me watching the Bears and simultaneously wishing I could stop watching the Bears because of the stress it creates on my heart - but I’m a fan through and through and just can’t quit!
I have joined Coyle Financial because I want to be a part of delivering exceptional client service. I love challenges, new experiences and I am dedicated to lifelong learning. My prior work responsibilities ranged from cold and warm calling, account management, hands on customer service and involved a lot of multi-tasking and problem solving.
I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2014 with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. Some of my academic achievements include making the Dean’s List four semesters in a row as well as joining Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society, which is one of the highest honors awarded on a Jesuit campus.
I love to travel, read books and spend time with my husband and friends. I have been dancing for four years and I think it is a great outlet not only to destress but also to express yourself.
The most rewarding aspect of my career is providing others with personalized, memorable service and support. I enjoy making someone’s day easier, whether that’s at work or for my friends and family. If I’ve helped someone, then I’ve had a great day!
In 2013, I graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. I went on to manage a retail store for several years. I’ve also worked as a customer service supervisor for a healthcare company.
In my free time, I love to relax at home on the lake with my husband, friends, and family. I enjoy cooking, so I am often found in the kitchen trying out new recipes and revisiting beloved favorites. My husband and I like to camp and fish together, so we are always looking for suggestions for new places to make memories. If you have any, send them my way!
My career has been driven by client relationships, so I was excited to join Coyle earlier this year, given their reputation for white glove customer service. I spent several years in the art world, bringing the same standard of high-level care necessary when working with curators and collectors. This shared focus on customer relationships has made me feel welcome in joining the team at Coyle.
I obtained a BA with honors from Columbia College Chicago, with a focus in Art History. I then moved to New York City to accept a job with Christie’s auction house, working on their Client Services team and assisting in coordinating their marquee Evening Sales. Chicago has always been home, and I was eager to return. Prior to my position at Coyle, I worked for The Conservation Center, the largest privately-owned art restoration lab in the United States. I hold a Certificate in Provenance Research from The University of Siena, and seek out an afternoon in a museum whenever possible.
In my free time, I collect vintage glass and frequent antique shops with my fiancé. On the weekends, you’ll find us chasing our dog Susan, or walking through our long-time neighborhood, Logan Square.
I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors in Sociology after working my way up the ladder in the service industry for almost 10 years. My focus and drive in the service industry was to create achievable goals in sales and profitability for highly competitive markets while still offering a memorable and one-of-a-kind guest experience. My degree helped pave the way to my true passion - people. Being someone who can make others feel comfortable and cared for is a cornerstone to my happiness.
Outside of work, I’m often chasing my dog Sophie around the dog park, grabbing Sunday brunch with friends or attending local farmers markets. Being a team member at Coyle Financial has opened up even more opportunities to do what I love; helping and caring for our clients is an exciting new venture.
Front Office Coordinator
I am the first smiling face you will see when you come through the doors of Coyle Financial Counsel. I enjoy making people feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for and it is my highest priority to ensure everyone has what they need while they visit us.
I have been at Coyle Financial Counsel since 2008 and feel blessed to be here.
I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have three wonderful daughters. I enjoy time outside in my garden and having been taking classes at Chicago Botanic Garden for their Professional Gardener certification program. I can also be found reading a good book or running around playing with my awesome grandchildren.
I’ve always found helping others very rewarding. My unique ability is building “family like” relationships and advocating for others. Support doesn’t stop at financial services as I am passionate about resolving any and all issues for our clients and their families.
In addition to caring for my parents and being a wife and mother, I have worked in a customer service capacity and/or client relationship role for more than 30 years.
Outside the office, my grown children Kelsey, Erin and Kevin are my heart, pride and joy. I enjoy laughing with them and the rest of my family and friends. Traveling and spending time with my sister or spending time by the pool are the ways I recharge my battery.
From a young age, I have loved helping people. Part of my unique ability is to organize and make things simple and efficient. Coyle is a perfect fit for me. We are here to help you live The Good Life Managed Well™. I'm excited to be a part of a company that has a heart to help our clients and their families.
I am married with 4 children and have a BS in Education. I taught for 5 years and then was blessed to be able to stay at home and homeschool my children. I have also had the opportunity to coach my children’s volleyball teams over the past six years. My degree along with teaching and coaching has equipped me to help my coworkers and clients. I love that Coyle not only cares about our clients but also invests in educating their children and grandchildren.
On any of my free days you can find me biking, boating, downhill skiing, or doing anything outdoors. Having my family with me doing anything adventurous is when I’m the happiest.
Manager Client Service
I have always been an empathetic person who aspires to help others. Knowing that I can make life a little easier or less stressful for someone, especially during an emotional time, is part of what motivates me to get out of bed each morning.
Through obtaining a BA in Economics and a BA in Psychology from Wheaton College (Norton, MA), I became intrigued and attentive to the emotionality surrounding finances. One of the many reasons I joined Coyle Financial Counsel was due to Coyle’s recognition of the role of emotion in creating The Good Life Managed Well™ program. Previously, I worked as an associate with a financial services company where I worked with clients.
On a nice day, you can find me outside spending time with friends and family. I enjoy working out and staying active any way I can. Being a learner at heart, I’m always looking for new books so I can spend a morning reading at the beach.
Helping people has always been a motivating force for me, and it’s what attracted me to the financial industry over thirty plus years ago. I joined Coyle Financial Counsel in 1998, and working in such a high-quality service organization has been life changing for me in that I get to work in my passion of helping others every day. I’m also energized and rewarded working with like-minded and hardworking team members as part of the Coyle group. As a Financial Planning Specialist, I partner with new clients to provide them with clarity and excitement as we present their current financial picture, as well as the possibilities of the future. I also collaborate with clients on an ongoing basis to design alternative courses of action for various financial decisions.
I received my Masters in Financial Services (MSFS) from the American College in Pennsylvania in 2010 and a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois in 1982. I am also a Certified Public Accountant since 1982. Before joining Coyle, I worked in public accounting and then in the real estate investment industry.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time and traveling with my husband, my two beautiful daughters, and my son-in-law. I love to serve the community and was involved in various organizations of my children’s schools for the duration of their education including Treasurer of the PTO, and President of the high school’s Choral League. I have also served on many committees at our church including the Board of Trustees, Staff/Parish Committee and I sing in the Chancel Choir. Golf is a favorite sport of mine, and I enjoy playing in a summer league.
I’m an organizer and a person who tends to the details and I love when I can find ways to make others’ lives easier. I’m also happiest working behind the scenes, making sure things run like clockwork. Becoming part of the team at Coyle is a joy to me because I not only get to do work I love, but I’m working with a group of people who understand and appreciate the different strengths, outlooks, and experiences that team members bring to the table.
I have a BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester and an MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Ohio University. I worked in Human Resources for 12 years before staying home to raise our two boys and then re-entered the workforce in project management and editing.
My husband Andrew and I love taking our kids to new places and have traveled extensively, both within and outside the U.S. The adventure of experiencing new places, meeting new people, and seeing how others live outside of our community never gets old. I’m an avid reader, love running and cooking, and thoroughly enjoy trying out new restaurants. My latest project is my attempt at relearning the Korean language, which I was once fluent in, albeit when I was four! I look for ways to volunteer my time in the community, whether it’s with our town’s farmers’ market, the food pantry, my kids’ schools, or with a local animal shelter, all the while trying to impress upon our kids the importance of giving back.
